Well, then it's int(0) instead of false, and int(1) instead of true.
Does that really make a difference ?
(By the way, I tested on 4 different computers, and the bug is
verified)

No, it doesn't return 'bool(true)' as preg_match() returns an integer.
Try with something like 'var_dump(preg_match...'
