This is obviously not a bug in PHP. Take up those issues with
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

The DBF package used by the ext/dbase extension is considered non-free
according to Debian's distribution policies, quite likely because the
license is limited to non-commercial use.

Is the PHP dev't team aware of the issue, and are there any plans to
switch to a more free xbase package? Or maybe the author coould be
contacted to ask if he would be willing to open up the license to
remove the non-commercial limitation?

 Permission is granted to distribute and use the source,
 documentation files and/or compiled binaries associated with dbf
