This file is from PHP4 distro, the one from PHP5 doesn't have this line. And if you read the docs, you would know why. Your note says not to include the DLL, it's built in. However, to get MySQL working, I added the extension=php_mysql.dll. Now it works. I am reporting this because your note says it is built in, but in my download, it wasn't. It may be a windows issue, i'm not complaining. I love you guys for all your hard work, PHP is a tool that makes us all Gods of programming. Just keeping you up to date on issues. You may have already received a bug report on this, however I am making sure you do. Other than that, my issue has been resolved, but I think this is a bug, and you should look into it, and let others know about it so they can get their PHP / MySQL working. I am sure mostly everyone did what I did and added the extension. Nathan Reproduce code: --------------- Install MySQL, Latest Version 5.0, and install PHP 4.4.0. Get your MySQL working with Apache and PHP. Shut down Apache, Upgrade to PHP 5.0.5 using the PHP Installer. Take out any MySQL extensions from the PHP.ini file if they weren't removed by PHP 5.0.5 Installer. You should receive the same error. I couldn't go around it, I even restarted and reinstalled.
