Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the appropriate forum for asking support questions. Due to the volume of reports we can not explain in detail here why your report is not a bug. The support channels will be able to provide an explanation for you. Thank you for your interest in PHP. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-01-17 16:03:50] fowdawgg at gmail dot com Description: ------------ When compiling PHP 5.1.2 from the .gz source, with the --enable-gd and --with-jpeg-dir directives correctly set in the ./configure command, PHP does not install jpeg support into the GD library. It does not throw any errors, in fact, it says it properly locates the jpeg6 headers, but running a phpinfo() command shows GD installed but no JPEG support, and functions such as imagecreatefromjpeg do not work. I redownloaded the source, but this time chose the .bz2 version, and installation went successful and the JPEG support was installed correctly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=36052&edit=1
