From: scott at abcoa dot com Operating system: PHP version: 5.1.4 PHP Bug Type: Session related Bug description: php.ini - add a short example of the 3 options to the session.save_handler
Description: ------------ The session.save_handler which showed "files" is the default option to be used. After 5 years of using the session, it never occur to me what the other options are until now. I have filed bug #37484 requesting some update to the php.net documentation that would give more clarification to the session.save_handler, the 3 options and their purpose. Since the documentation is an ongoing process, I figured if we can add something like "(Option Setting: files, mm, users)". Not sure if "user" come with or without a "s". The reason for this thought is it would stimulate our understanding on the use of sessions if someone didn't know any. I thought it would be nice to let people know what the options are and that there are more than one options to use. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=37495&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 4.4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=trysnapshot44 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=trysnapshot52 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=37495&r=mysqlcfg
