No, gcc is not used in this case. The configure file is executed by your shell. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-11-28 16:36:37] nick dot ferszt at ga dot com I believe there is a difference in the GCC version which may be suspect. In two 10.3.9 servers, both give errors while the 10.4 did not. 10.4.8 - gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5247) 10.3.9 - gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1671) Apple will not release GCC 4 for OS versions less than 10.4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-11-28 16:31:03] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Do you have any ideas what might be causing it? Are there any differencies between these two systems? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-11-28 16:29:48] nick dot ferszt at ga dot com Sorry, it compiled on a 10.4 system. 10.3.9 still gives errors. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-11-28 16:20:59] nick dot ferszt at ga dot com I have successfully configured the original on another installation of 10.3.9. There is something wrong with my particular system. Go ahead and bogus this bug. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-11-28 16:04:32] nick dot ferszt at ga dot com The link has been fixed. I am using bash version 2.05b.0(1)- release (powerpc-apple-darwin7.0) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
