Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the appropriate forum for asking support questions. Due to the volume of reports we can not explain in detail here why your report is not a bug. The support channels will be able to provide an explanation for you. Thank you for your interest in PHP. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2006-12-26 22:57:38] CemilB at optonline dot net Description: ------------ I used the Windows installer package (php-5.2.0-win32-installer.msi) downloaded from the PHP site. Sessions did not survive from one page to next. Determined that the directory specified in "session.save_path" did not exist. When I created directory, sessions worked as expected. Also noted that directory upload_tmp_dir did not exist, and I suspect that would be a problem, too. It would appear to me that the directory should be created at install time rather than have sessions fail. I am not sure who maintains the Windows installer, but if not maintained by your organization, please either forward or let me know so I can notify them. Thanks.
