Hi Marcus, Ext/soap is not in active development phase. Mainly I just fix bugs there.
This bug is not really a bug, but a lot of people asked me about this feature. So I believe, "HTTP Digest Authentication" should be in the next stable release. (ext/soap is marked as experimental) Thanks.
