Does anyone know a reliable way to set an ODBC connection to timeout after a very short time? I've tried set_time_limit but when the query is running PHP does not drop out, I've also tried odbc_setoption on the connection before executing. Basically, I want it to just fail quicker if it is going to. 30 seconds is too long.
