I would use Javascript to update the page content. You can use the DOM to 
access the content in other frames as long as it's the same base URL I think. 
So when you output the form after storing the record, output a script that 
changes the bottom frame.

Look up "javascript InnerHTML" in google.. that should give you some ideas
