[PHP-DB] Notice: A non well formed numeric value encountered

I'm getting the above NOTICE with the following statement:
Echo date('d/m/y',$CTS);

Where $CTS = 2007-09-22 10:09:31

And 31/12/69 is being echoed.


PHP 5.2.1
MYSQL 5.0.37-community-nt via tcp/ip
