Dear Bavithra,

I would suggest you the following solution

$sql = "SELECT x FROM y";
$rs  = mysql_query ($sql)
$num = mysql_numrows($rs);
while ($i < $num){
        z = mysql_result($rs, $i, 'x');

I hope that above solution help you.
