(configure was started with --with-apxs --with-mysql, php4.0.5 compiled with these options) output: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -l-l this is documented in debug.log too: LIBS: -l -l -l -lcrypt -lresolv -lm -ldl -lnsl -lresolv gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -DEAPI_MM -DLINUX2 -DMOD-SSL=206105 -DUSEHSREGEX -DEAPI -DUSE_EXPAT -DSUPPORT_UTF8 conftest.c $LIBS and the error-message from above I tried to delete -l -l -l in configure.vars.mk, but it did'nt help.
