Appears to be fixed now. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-04-27 21:23:11] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Source: Page 110 of PDF version of PHP Manual In the PDF manual the here doc symbol (<<<) is displayed as a double angle bracket and a single angle bracket, rather than three individual angle brackets. This looks as follows: «< (provided the server doesn't alter the characters as this form is submitted) THis drove me crazy for a while. I tried << and I even copied the characters from the PDF document. Perl uses << so I thought I had an operational issue with PHP. Finally, I decided to check the HTML version of the manual and found out that it should be <<<. I'm happy that it wasn't my installation, but I did spend a few hours checking things over when they could have been use better elsewhere. Other than that, I have read the manual backwards and forward and found no other inconsistencies. I have had PHP running for two months without a hitch and am busily converting Cold Fusion code into PHP. Best, Mike :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=10532&edit=1 -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
