configure is generated from aclocal.m4. Fixing aclocal.m4 isn't the right place either as aclocal.m4 is generated by 'aclocal' which takes the funtions from acinclude.m4 and the M4-files from /usr/share/aclocal/ Can you please find out which M4-file carryies these lines ?
