this is most likely not something you want...  Saving data during
script execution has a bunch of related issues that just make it a bad
thing.

When I register variables to the session in a php script that produces
a frameset, the child frames cannot access the session variables unless
I delay the pages somehow.  (Only in Netscape)  I assume it is because
the session state is saved at the end of the script.  The problem would
be fixed if save_current_state could be called before the script ends.
