From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Operating system: PHP version: 4.1.1 PHP Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description: Localization of PHP
Until now PHP has used the $ prefix for variables what is clearly influenced by script languages such as Perl which have their roots in the USA. As PHP's core components, such as ZEND, are developed in Europe and many opinion leaders are from here I'd suggest to replace $ by the Euro sign € as of PHP5. Yes, this will break some of the existing scripts, but we might provide a tool which replaces all occurencies of $ by €. -- Daniel Lorch http://daniel.lorch.cc/ -- Edit bug report at: http://bugs.php.net/?id=15343&edit=1 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=oldversion Not for support: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=support Not wrong behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=15343&r=notenoughinfo -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To contact the list administrators, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
