I'm just tidying up the basics first, then the more exotic stuff. BTW: it there a rule about code in main/* not being allowed to depend on code in ext/standard/* ? (it would only be temporary)
Actually, what would be nice would be to move most of the ext/standard/fsock.c code into main/network.c - I remember that Stig wanted to track some extra socket info.
