So, lets summarize what we got out of this...
-- mbstring is a very useful part of PHP and should be integrated properly into ext/standard . -- mbstring-enc-trans has some issues, but that's ok because you can't disable-and-not-build it at build time now -- having default packages is ok, but we need some method of being able to 'clear' the list (or enable them all) -- we need some kind of documentation about default packages...
