I dont't have use of line numbering in current apps. This, at once is a very interesting use of line numbering, if the proposed patch allows parametrization. Then, for a demo or training, line numbering of snippets is a dream, as it allows one to comment code by line number instead of some other hawkward methods. On the other hand, say linenumber_off or whatever switch one can imagine when the snippet is to be reused canb be an easy best of both worlds situation. > Can't this be option, default off (current behaviour)? For backwards compatibility, this would be nice. And just turn it on when needed ;-) Anubis -- PHP Development Mailing List <http://www.php.net/> To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
