Andi=>George ?

Didn't understand the email, but George showed some ideas where one
might change the hooks and I applaud his insight. Not the ideas that I
had in mind, but shows that one might find it useful. I just get the
feeling that Zend can't think of a reason for changing it, and for that
to then be taken as a good reason to leave it as is. Sorry if that's
not the case, but I'm trying to encourage the thought that there could
be reasons why one wants to change the hooks at some point after
startup.

In general, if something is possible then at some point someone will
want to do it, so one shouldn't put artificial barriers to prohibit
that as it could stifle creativity and innovation.

But, also one has to prioritize changes, and also avoid feature creep
otherwise nothing ever gets released. I wouldn't say that it's a high
priority.
