Is it common practice for hosting providers to update to newer versions of PHP without warning to virtual hosting clients? And should I expect those updates to be bug-free?
Liquidweb recently updated to php 4.2.3 and soon after I noticed that significant chunks of my commercial web site ceased to function. Turned out to be due to a bug in PHP.
