Please! It's just a date() parameter, about 20 lines of code, mostly taken from another date() parameter. I'm a Windows user, I don't have all your cool auto* and gcc stuff. It doesn't seem worthwhile for me to go through installing Cygwin for something this simple... Just reject the patch, if you don't want it.
