-1 Since every time I vote against “the cabal” I get yelled at on Twitter and in private messages, I feel I’m forced to throw some reason up. To be frank, Paul is not even close to being the most disruptive member, and the manipulation that happens behind the scenes of this organization instead of out in the open is, to me, far worse than Paul’s inability to keep his foot out of his mouth. The direct and malicious- but off list- actions of certain members of this group make me wonder why we haven’t nominated *them* for removal after literally years of bad behavior that has directly prevented people from working on PSRs. This awful double standard, combined with the fact that a large amount of this effort (including lobbying efforts that are occurring off of this list) is being done by people who have left this group or where never part of it, makes this whole thing seem like a bad joke.
