Most of you have probably seen my pull request to remove Symfony as a
member project,
and I wanted to follow up and clarify a few things.

Symfony has always aimed to promote and follow various standards, and many
of the
PSRs have been absolutely instrumental in advancing PHP in this direction.
Symfony
has supported, encouraged, and implemented these PSR's - and the people
involved
deserve a thanks for their efforts.

However, I want to confirm that Symfony would like to be removed as a
member project.
Interoperability & standards are still as important as ever, but we believe
that the
direction the group is taking is diverging from Symfony's interpretation of
the
original mission statement written on the PHP-FIG's homepage:

"We're a group of established PHP projects whose goal is to talk about
commonalities between our projects and find ways we can work better
together."

We will continue to implement the PSRs relevant for the Symfony project.

Thank you for your understanding,
Fabien
