        Um, drupal.org would fall into that latter category:

Hello!

I've packed PHP 5.4.0beta2 which you can find here:

    http://downloads.php.net/stas/

The Windows team provides windows binaries which you find here:

    http://windows.php.net/qa/

Please test it carefully, and report any bugs in the bug system, but
only if you have a short reproducible test case. The next release is planned to be RC1 and is scheduled for November 10.

regards,
Stas and David

Hi All,

I subscribed to this list thinking that this is where I would get security
update notices, but this appears to be more of a general list. I've looked
at all the lists available on PHP.net and I don't see one specifically about
security.

Can someone tell me which list I should sub to in order to ensure that I am
advised of security updates?

Thanks

    Well, hence the "General" in PHP General. So I guess we're doing
something right here.

    There is no public PHP security mailing list. Instead, we post
things right in the open on the website itself, right on the homepage:

        http://php.net/

    There are third-party sites that send out security alerts for
software such as PHP, and you can likely find them easily enough via
Google. Off the top of my head, none are coming to mind by name, but
I have subscribed to their mailings myself over the years, and found
them to be a pretty reliable resource --- some "underground" public
groups are particularly useful for zero-day vulnerabilities.

I've been on Bugtraq for years, and have found it to be very useful (if a bit
noisy). It's heavily moderated, but there's still so much software out there
that it can get a few dozen emails a day.

<http://www.securityfocus.com/> about halfway down the page fill in your email
address, and then check off the Bugtraq list in the bottom half.

OK, thank you. That's not workable for me as I have far too much to keep
track of. I need stuff delivered to me so I'll follow up on some of the
other lists that you and Matthew mention.

It's cause by eaccelerator module, when I remove this module, the php-cgi
works well.
Is there some compatible issue between eaccelerator and php?

Joseph,

Please include the list.

If you're using Windows XP Professional, you can use the IIS that comes with
it. To install it, Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs (?) > Windows
Components. If you're using Windows XP Home Premium or other XP variants, I
suggest you use Apache web server (httpd) [1] instead and follow the manual
[2] for its configurations. Then download the PHP's Windows binary [3],
install/unzip, and then configure it [4]. While using the MS Web Platform
Installer (WPI) may get you up and running faster, you won't fully
comprehend the ins/outs of the entire setup where you may have to update the
newer versions because of bug fixes or new features or do some configuration
tweaks for various reasons (security, performance, logging, etc.). Don't
bother trying to use IIS Express on the MS WPI, IMO, it's worthless as you
have to do the configurations via command line appcmd.exe, IIRC. Another
option you can use is XAMPP for Windows [5] but I prefer putting everything
together myself ;)

Good luck,
Tommy

Hello,

I have two binary numbers which are quite long. 128 bits to be exact.

When converting the two items to decimal i get the same result. The
binary numbers are quite different, so I am not getting the expected
results.

Here is my code:

$b1 =
'00100000000000010000110110111000100001011010001100000000000000001111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111';
$b2 =
'00100000000000010000110110111000100001011010001100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000';

$dec1 = bindec($b1);
$dec2 = bindec($b2);

echo $dec1."\n";
echo $dec2;

I get 4.2540766452641E+37 for both $dec1 and $dec2.

What can I do to resolve the problem?

Mike

Hi,

Check http://nl3.php.net/manual/en/function.bindec.php

Probably you have a 32-bit CPU. See the link why that's a problem.

lol.
The last one:

500      23880  0.0  0.0 209136 10832 ?        S    21:23   0:01
/usr/local/websrv/php/bin/php-cgi --fpm --fpm-config
/usr/local/websrv/php/etc/php-fpm.conf
500      27195 15.0  0.1 210196 12644 ?        S    23:02   0:02
/usr/local/websrv/php/bin/php-cgi --fpm --fpm-config
/usr/local/websrv/php/etc/php-fpm.conf <- THIS ONE

PS: The problem is solved, It's cause by eaccelerator module, when I remove
this module, the php-cgi works well.

Regards.

In which case you wouldn't want to use the <label> tag -- but that's
no super huge loss.
