I don't think there's any kind of consensus :) But to perhaps lead you in the right direction... how long do you think should pass before someone who logged in once before will log in again? if you expect a longer than 30 day time period, then 30 days is too short. If you expect within a week or 2 then 30 days is probably perfect. In my opinion, if they log in once a month, the benefit of "remember me" is almost nill given the frequency of usage.
