Is there any function to do: $thumb = exec("ls $dir/name*") ; without using the exec function and without making a while:
$direc_src_obj = dir($dir) ; while($entry=$direc_src_obj->read()) { ... }
So, i am looking for a function which return the result of the unix shell command:
ls mydir/name*
