I'm sure you will find prewritten scripts with Google and I know phpmyadmin does it to.


Without giving it much though my first reaction to your question is pretty straigtforward: use SHOW TABLES to find out which tables are in the DB and then just do SHOW COLUMNS FROM table for each table. Then you can query the table using SELECT * FROM table and create the insert using the knowledge you have gained about the columns in that table.

However, I would like to suggest looking for a prewritten solution, since it's probably not necessary to reinvent the wheel here...
