So. If you require a verified email, they obviously won't be able to verify
it. You'll waste some resources sending the mail, but does that really
matter?

I guess if you blindly send out messages to unverified email addresses, i.e.
accepting whatever the user gave you, then this would be a pain for you b/c
you'd be getting it, not them. They obviously don't want it, though, so why
force them to receive it?
