I second that, it makes logical sense but how would you do that programmatically?
.. but.. what if you dont know what you have to compare to that long string(ttttttttPhiladelphiaFirstadate05Oct2004tttttttt)? there has to be some sort of criteria to which the "string to be found" can be seperated from the whole string, ie: position, case, length, etc... perhaps Mike if you gave us an exact example then we could give you a definite answer and not base our answers on hypothetical situations. hope this helps Angelo -----Original Message----- From: John W.
