I know I can serialize the array fetch_assoc returns, but I really need to
serialize a mysqli_result, so I can feed it to any function expecting a
mysqli_result.

Are there any alternative way to do it? Manually?

Can I create a mysqli_result object and feed it the data myself? I can't seem
to find any description for a constructor for the mysqli_result class in the
function reference.
