Yes.

It should be noted that a "real" SSL Cert is no more (nor less) secure
than a self-generated one.

The "real" cert only means that somebody somewhere was paid money to
do some sort of minimal background check and paid-off entity is
"satisfied" that you are who you say you are.

The browser message regarding an unsigned-cert in most browsers is
wildly inaccurate and misleading.
