I just had a bright idea ??? Am doing editing file for book entries; it occurs to me (now that I am practically finished) that it might be much simpler to delete entries and just insert rather than going through the rigamarole of checking if the new entries exist and if and if and if... just delete & insert - less code, less headaches... or is this a cute fantasy & I should get myself locked up? Guys, don't go overboard on this... I know I'm leaving myself wide open :-P
