[PHP] date

Hi all,
I have a view containing a char value. I use select to_date(thoigian,'yy-mm-dd 
hh24:mi:ss') from this view. But i can't see the time, it's only appear as 
"DD-MON-YY". Anybody could show me how to see the time.
