[PHP] Secure transfer

Hi php'ers

   I'm about to build a site that allows payment with credit card.
   Of cause the card number, expiration date etc. should be secured
   when transfered. How do I do that?
   I've been looking at the OpenSSL functions in php, but they seem to
   be unsatisfying.
