Thanks very much for the prompt reply.
phpinfo() shows only
REMOTE_ADDR
REMOTE_HOST
REMOTE_PORT
but not $REMOTE_USER.
Even I tried using $REMOTE_USER alone, but no response.
Please suggest a way.
