I think this might do it:
$alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz';
$abc = 'abc';
for ($i = 0; $i < strlen($abc); $i++){
$abcs[] = $abc[$i];
}
$notabc = preg_replace($abcs, '', $alphabet);
for ($i = 0; $i < strlen($notabc); $i++){
$notabcs[] = $notabc[$i];
}
