In the 'php.ini' file on both servers (the current working one, and the one I am having problems with), 'register_globals' is 'On'. Actually, i did compare the two 'php.ini' files line by line, and they are exact. Just to be sure, i even copied over the 'php.ini' file from the working server, restarted Apache, and tried the Control Panel again; still no joy :-( Thank you for the suggestion, however!
