Hi,
I am trying to do something that shouldn't be too hard but I am having
zero luck. I just need to be able to input Japanese into a TEXTAREA or
TEXT box, store it into MySQL and then print it back. Does anyone out
there have any examples of this? I know I need to start a separate instance
of MySQL with a Japanese characters set, but which one should I use? The
input would be from a Web browser, generally IE on a Windows platform, but
the database and MySQL live on Solaris or Linux.
I have been having a heck of a time getting Windows 2000 to reliably
agree that the input is Japanese. It keeps switching back to English without
warning or reason.
