Hey again,

I still don't know how php gets the mysql-version, but anyway. Using the old mysql
again plus the new php 4.0.4 - whenever I try to connect using phpadmin or any other
php-file that uses mysql_connect () it breaks with this msg:

---
Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10022)
in lib.inc.php3 on line 119
Error
MySQL said:
---

I'm using w2k, mysql 3.23.22beta and php4.0.4, btw.

It worked very well using php3. I've checked the ini-file, everything seems to be
right (everything is set like with v3 of php). Connecting to mysql using a windows
client-application works as well, so it seems to be a php issue.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix that? No, I couldn't find anything about it in
the FAQ nor in the docs.

Thanks a lot in advance.
