Hello Theo, There seemingly is a problem on some systems when trying to include Informix support. The good news is that I've found it can be done by specifying the libraries explicitly. I have attached one of the scripts that I've used to compile Apache/PHP/Informix on a SCO 5.0.4 Openserver machine. Have a look through and adapt it for your own use. If there's anything else you need to know or unsure of then give me another shout. Remember to make the file executable and run with ./b4.0.4gd.sh n n You may have to hack out the parts reffering to GD. I have this script in my /usr/src( your /users by the looks of it) directory along with the Apache and PHP tar(un-gzipped) files in the same one which are then extracted so as to get a clean install. Like I said, if you have any problems then just ask. Jani - cc'd this to you as a reminder that we were going to look into this sometime this year. Hope you're having a good one so far. No doubt we'll speak again soon. Guess you've been as busy as me ;o) Best regards, - Paul - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bister, Hans-Theo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, January 18, 2001 12:46 PM Subject: [PHP-INST] libtool: link: cannot build libtool library libinformix.la from non-libtool (Installation PHP 4.0.4 Static Module for Apache 1.3.14 on HP-UX 10.20 with INFORMIX) > Hello, > > the problem afterwards enclosed drives me crazy.
