[PHP-INST] GD Problem

Hi,
I killed PHP today trying to recompile it with GD support.... Could someone explain a 
linux beginner how to use GD with PHP's dl() command. 
Also, for my work I now have to use a server where I don't have admin rights so I 
can't compile anything... Anyone have an Idea about where to get the GD binaries for 
dl()?
