Ok, noone has responded to my last email yet, so here is a quick version
with actual specifics now.
Case: I am trying to compile php with gd support, with a gd library I
compiled myself, by giving it --with-gd=/var/html/build/gd
Problem: It is actually linking with the libgd.a that is in /usr/local/lib
How do I know this?: Because the /usr/local/lib version is png&ttf only
... my copy is png&jpeg only ... phpinfo() tells me it sees png&ttf support.
The Solution:
Is up to you to find ... How to I force it to use MY gd, and not the system's?
Eli
