Yes, I am running FreeBSD 4.2 stable from february and upped my
ports collection via cvsup a couple of days ago, after first encountering
a problem with configuring PHP --with-dom. Normally, I use ports to
make and make install apps, except for PHP, Postgres, and Apache.
I still do those three by hand, just because I still do not completely
trust the accuracy of FreeBSD ports. I am running a fairly recent
Apache and PHP4.04 as a DSO module. This is the first time I've ever
had trouble building a new DSO of PHP, and encountered this problem
with 4.04_1 as well as the latest snap release from a few days ago.
/usr/ports/textproc has libxml, libxml2, and libxml++. According to the
latest cvsup of ports, ports says the latest libxml++ is .08 something
and libxml is 1.8. something.. -- and libxml2 is 2.3.3, which is what I
am trying to use with PHP.
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. Let me know what you suggest.
