Got it working. I added PGLS_FETCH(); to the _rollback_transactions function
as follows:

{

PGLS_FETCH();
PGG(ignore_notices) = 1;
PQexec(link,"BEGIN;ROLLBACK;");

}
Seems to work ok now with this configure:

--disable-mysql \

--enable-sysvshm \
--enable-socket \

--with-pgsql=/net/clear1/home/rpatters/pgsql \
--without-gd
Note that this is for Solaris 2.6 on UltraSparc
