>From your description of what you've done, I think you must have been reading some very strange instructions! The easiest way to install on IIS is to download the Windows installer from the downloads page on www.php.net - run it and let the Wizard do everything for you. Alternatively, follow the instructions for installing on IIS 4.0+ (CGI) in the install.txt file which comes with the full Windows zip distribution. Don't bother using the ISAPI module - it will go wrong!
