Hi,
I try to install Apache, PHP and Sablotron on
a Tru64unix v5.1 box.
Sablotron compiles fine.
While configuring PHP thru the following command
LIBS="-liconv $LIBS" ./configure \
--with-apache=/usr/local/src/apache_1.3.20 \
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql \
--with-sablot=/usr/local/src/Sablot-0.60 \
--enable-track-vars
I obtain the following error message :
checking for standard DES crypt... 106123:./conftest:
/sbin/loader: Error: libsablot.so:
symbol "__cxa_call_unexpected" unresolved
106123:./conftest: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error:
Load of "./conftest" failed: Unresolved symbol name
In attachement, you will find the debug.log file.
Any help will be appreciated,
Thank you in advance,

Hi Max,
no idea if this helps:
- I'm not using PHP AuthTrans in obj.conf
- The line 'Service fn=php4_execute' (last but one in obj.conf) reads
'Service fn="php4_execute"' (double quotes !) in my obj.conf
sorry, that's all I can see

Hi Alfred,
I've already looked at http://benoit.noss.free.fr/php/install-php4.html,
but
on Solaris an iPlanet php 4.0.6 doesn't work. I've compiled php 4.0.2
and
everything's well.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards.
Stefano

Hi all,
I am having problems installing the ISAPI version of PHP. I am using the
latest release from php.net.
I unzip the files to c:\php4
I then copy the dll's as instructed to my system32 on c:\winnt
I then copy the PHP.INI to c:\winnt\ and specify the location of the
extensions.
I then configure the .php extension to the location of php4isapi.dll in IIS5
Manager.
I then create and copy a test php file called testphp.php to my webroot and
run via a browser like: http://localhost/testphp.php
The file itself contains:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Via the browser I get the following error: "Invalid access to memory
location"
Although sometimes I also get this error:
"Warning: Failed opening 'c:\inetpub\wwwroot\phptest.php' for inclusion
(include_path='.;c:\php4\includes') in Unknown on line 0"
Has anyone any ideas how to fix this?
TIA

You are strongly advised in the install.txt file that the ISAPI module is
unstable. The 'invalid access to memory location' error is one manifestation
of the instability.
Change to the cgi version and all will work well.

Hello
Could someone tell me why PHP4 wont compile on my Sol7 machine?
PHP3 works fine and so does Apache by itself. Below is my debug.log and
any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info please let
me know. Thanks.

Hi all,
i want to compile php with domxml.
i am trying for a long time but i dont get along with it.
can anybody give me some hints or tell me how he/she did it?
looking forward for your answer!
Michael
L.S.
I am using linux debian potation / php 4.0.2 / apache. This works fine, but
there are no php-gd.so and php-swf.so or other modules installed. Where can
i find an executable or source for php-swf and php-gd?
Grtz,
Rein
I recently spent the better part of a day trying to get PHP to install and
run properly on my system. I am using Red Hat 6.2 and have installed all
of the apache RPMs and tried building PHP from source with ./configure
--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs and everything seems to be ok and i do a make
and make install and check httpd.conf and restart apache. The problem is
when I go to test and see if PHP is working, nothing happens. I created a
test.php file and in it i have <?php phpinfo() ?> which when I point my
browser at that file that's what I see, not the expected PHP info screen.
I'm not sure what the problem is....I had this problem with my Red Hat
7.0 machine and after countless hours of trying to get it to work it just
"out of the blue" decided to work. I'm pretty much at a loss, I can't see
anything wrong. If anybody can help, I'd be grateful because I'm about
the throw the box out my third story window. :)
Thanks,
Eric
