I've rebuilt php several times since to change extensions and every time it works fine. Here is my configure command: ./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/ apxs \ --enable-bcmath --enable-calendar --with-gd --with-xml --with-oci8 \ --enable-dbg=shared --with--dbg-profiler I'll upgrade my apache to 1.3.20 to see what happens and keep you posted.
