I've installed PHP4.0.6 under Mandrake 7.2 with the following command -
./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs --with-config-file-path=/somedir
However when I restart apache and access phpinfo() it loads the default
Configure Command './configure' '--with-mysql' '--with-apxs'
Configuration File (php.ini) Path /usr/local/lib
I end up having path problems -e.g. DB.php not found, and routines in
/usr/local/lib/php/PEAR/common.php not found
Questions
What permissions should the install dir & files have (located in
/usr/local/lib)
Any help gratefully accepted

I just installed PHP Version 4.06 and when i try to start IIS it says
Uexpected error 0x8ffe2740 occured.
Oh yeah Using IIS 5 with windows XP Pro

I have a new install of php. Simply, php variables are not being assigned
as http variables unless specifically set to do so via:
$var = (!empty($HTTP_GET_VARS["var"]) ? $HTTP_GET_VARS["var"] :
"main");
Otherwise they are not passed.
This is under Apache v1.3.19 and PHP v4.0.6. PHP was configured as:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-apxs --enable-ftp --with-mysql=/usr
--with-imap --with-openssl=/usr/local/ssl
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
